Of Victory

God, you have won us! Though you were defeated, dominion is yours over all the earth. Though you were a temporary failure, the eternal victory is yours. You share your victory with us even in our frailty. You invite us into your dominion and make us heirs according to your promises. In you, when we are failures, we are only temporary ones. For your good creation, even when temporarily defeated, is better than evil triumphant and your salvation is not in vain.

Yours is the glory. Yours is the power. Yours is the true future that invades our present. God, you are good. You are majestic. You are our hope and our salvation. You illuminate our spirits and inspire us to courageous love. Above all else, you are love. In the name of your crucified and risen son, Jesus. Amen.
