Prayer For Guidance
God of grace and comfort,
Give us the courage to ask dangerous questions
Questions of our future
Questions of our desires, our motives, our outcomes.
We cannot, however, ask the right questions alone.
We need you to show which questions we must ask.
We need your spirit to guide us.
It is for you, even for your glory, that we interrogate our experience.
It is for you that we care enough to wrestle with ourselves and even with you.
Open to us that future, those futures, which you desire for us and for the healing of the world--for the coming of your kingdom.
Amen.
