Born to Illegal Immigrants, Henry Cejudo Wins Gold for U.S.

"American wrestler Henry Cejudo, the son of illegal immigrants from Mexico, won gold in the 121-pound freestyle final on Tuesday"

I don't know why this story meant so much to me when I heard it. Perhaps it's my love for he sport of wrestling, having wrestled for seven years of my life, coupled with my compassion and appreciation for immigrants into the U.S. from Mexico. It's one little reminder to all those who would prefer to hastily deport all illegal immigrants out of the United States that the "illegals" with whom they are dealing have real stories and are real people with faces.
