Good Friday

Today may we live in remembrance of the pain and suffering of our Messiah; Jesus who suffered for us and sufferers now with those who suffer still. May we follow Him Now. May we Follow Him to persecution, to prison, even to death. For to follow the suffering messiah is to take up the cross of compassion and walk toward, not away from, the world of brokenness which Christ came to heal.

Have you ever heard Tony Campolo talk about a sermon "It's Friday but Sunday's Coming"? It's on his website, www.tonycampolo.org. He starts talking about it towards the end, but the whole thing is pretty good... I always think about it around Good Friday, eventhough it can be for any day.
